B6 S4 problems

Re: B6 S4 problems
DFRESH S4
I would love to hear more about your cam experience. I am currently on a quest for a used 4.2 as mine mysteriously died 2 days ago. Diags from the mechanic indicate a cam issue. His thinks it was either cam failure or tension arm failure on the timing chain. Either way, I'm parked with three dead cylinders.
While I'm at it, does anyone know where to find a replacement 4.2 for an 05?

Re: B6 S4 problems
Stew - sorry to hear about your predicament. A timing tensioner guide failure sucks big time. May I suggest you register and post over on www.audirevolution.net. Couple of us are audiforum.ca users as well, but more importantly the specialist knowledge regarding the B6 S4 and its 4.2L V8 is there.
