Hey everyone,

Decided to pull the trigger on a brand new Audi S4 from Glenmore Audi. Picking it up on Thursday and very excited.

Its a 2012 B8 S4 Premium....its Phantom Black with the Magma Red/Black interior with every option. Very excited to get the car and be a part of this forum.

Hopefully i havent missed all the meets now that the weather isn't as nice cuz i'm lookin forward to meeting everyone!

haha its definitely a quick car! loved the DSG transmission on the test drive.....its gunna kill me not being able to rip it during the break in period....which is about 1500 km's i think

Love the red seat inserts. Is that another S4 parked beside yours?

 

no its comes with the chrome mirror covers unfortunately

yea its the only one on the lot with the red seats n i love the way it looks. that is another S4 next to me....they also have another one which is black on black which was a couple more cars down

 

Not sure...lots of the B8 S4 guys I've hear from say no break in is best. I started a thread on Audiworld asking about that exactly for a friend who just took delivery on his B8 S4 2 weeks ago.

 

yea ive heard both sides. some people say you should drive it hard from the beginning and it makes the engine stronger and faster etc.

others says you should follow the break in procedure in the manual cuz why would Audi say it if it wasn't necessary.

i think my plan is to do something in the middle for the first 1500 km's. accelerate quick-ish but not WOT and shift around 4/5K but not redline....that way i get the best of both worlds haha!

i might have to sign up on Audiworld as well n see what the ppl there have to say!
