Ok so I have a 2012 S4 so here are the questions.

First I love the change in the grill.

1) The buttons on the steering wheel look to have changed a bit. What is the new button. Couldn't read it from the photos.

2) I see the Nav is updated. Has anyone been able to upgrade their 2012 S4 to this same spec and what was the cost? Improvements??

2013 Audi models all get Google Navigation. You can't update to this.
Basically here are the changes in 2013:

- Silver buttons (4 buttons around Navi ****)
- Silver trims around all 4 power window buttons (plus trunk release button)
- Google Navigation
- Completely changed steering wheel

Outside:

- Front and rear light changes
- Front grill and fog light changes

Also note that above pics are US models.

 

How about the petals. Can I finally get RS like petals for my 2012 S4?

Yeah the petals are medal. Check out Audizine, there are tons of forums on the new models. The DSG gets a new crown differential, as well as a weird "Soundakator" exhaust enhancer.

 

The buttons on the steering wheel all have the same functionality as the previous model S4. The button positions/configuration have just changed to to look and feel more like the 2012 Q7, A6, etc. On the left side of the steering wheel the mode button is on top. Below is the scroll wheel on the left for selecting different DIS menu options (phone, media, etc.) and a blank on the right. On the right side of the wheel the voice command button is on top. Below, the volume control scroll wheel is on the right with the navigation info button on the left.

Currently there is no way easy way of updating the navigation system. It is likely possible, but will likely be cost prohibitive. The navigation system is also still DVD based for Canada. The Audi Connect/Google Earth based navigation system is still unavailable in Canada due to network/carrier compatibility issues.
