Took about an hour. Never done it before on a German car. Had done it on a Japanese car. It was identical process.

Thanks, can I bug you to link the exact models on Amazon? Notice any difference so far from stock?

Also, any reason you didn't also do the rears?

Rears are a little more harder to do and it's not something I can do myself. You also need to reset a few things using vag com. I was a little lazy to do all this to be honest.

Here is the Amazon link to the front pads:

Hawk Performance HB364Z.642 Performance Ceramic Brake Pad : Amazon.com : Automotive Hawk Performance HB364Z.642 Performance Ceramic Brake Pad : Amazon.com : Automotive

My OEM was fairly new around 14K on them. So comparing them to these are hard but I've noticed stopping power is a little better. So far no dust at all (10 days). No noise. Noise test will be much better when it gets a little colder.

Almost two weeks and haven't heard a single squeak. Dust is almost gone. I am loving these pads.

Were your brakes squealing even in warm weather? My OEM pads only squealed when it was cold outside and my car was left outside for several hours. Embarrasingly loud though. I ended up burning them in (whatever it's called when you hit 80km/h or whatever and brake hard several times) and it reduced the issue substantially.

Though it was a relatively mild winter as well.

The dust on the other hand is just atrocious.

Wonder what the difference is between the "high performance" vs "performance" Hawk ceramics. I.e., yellow vs blue box.

I didn't even know they had a blue box. I went with yellow whichever that is.

Warm temp I have squeaking but very very little. Usually under 10 degrees is where it got bad. So far nothing and almost zero dust.
