Audi s4 2011 Titanium package in CANADA?
Hey guys,
I'm currently a 2008 RS4 owner, and my lease ends August 1st. I plan on getting the new S4, but read the following please, I really need an advice!
I had hard time trying to find the s4 appealing.... don't get me wrong here, I mean they are nice looking, but coming from my Premium / Titanium Dakota Grey RS4 (no chrome!) I thought that the S4 was a bit too much chromed... anyway, after talking to my Audi Rep back in february, he told me it was possible to have the ''black'' option which consist of painted front grill, light trim and window trim, pretty much what I want, but is painted really the same as the USA titanium package? Cause on my RS4, it doesnt look ''painted''.
Now, tonight, before going to bed, I went to ''build my own S4'' website section, started going through the options, and clicked on that 19" Titanium button and guess what, BAMMM! That's the CAR I WANT NOW! I got really excited, woke up the girlfriend and told her that the debate is over, I've found my car (she was looking at me like WTF DUDE IM SLEEPING).
So I keep on going, adding all the options I want, and saw the price at the end, pretty much what I expected, until I realised I was on audiusa website! I went to the canada website, but their configurator is offline dammit. I looked to see if the same package is available in canada but cannot find the answer.
So my question is this :
Are the Prestige Package Available in CANADA, or at the very least, the 19" Titanium Sport Package (chrome removed)?
If not , since the CAN$ is better than US$, would that be an option to buy it in the states?!? I would take the plane to get there and I would bring it back, where ever I brought it from!

19" titanium is available. however the chrome around the window and all that stays! Canadian packages are a little different from US. You can get the black out package as a custom order and it looks way better and that's the car, however the mirrors stay metallic. If you buy the car in the US you cant purchase brand new as the dealers wont sell new to Canadians

When I was ordering my 2012, I looked into the titanium package to get the blacked out front grille and window trim. The option is $650 plus an extra $500 for the special order fee. The total seemed a bit too much for me just to get that when I think in the US, it's just a $400 option.
1move is correct, I checked with buying a new one from the US, but the dealerships won't sell to Canadians. I remember also reading that even if you have someone in the US that can buy it for you, they can't sell/transfer it to you until it's 6 months old.

I found the special order guide that my dealer sent me. It's the 2011 one but gives you and idea. I tried to find a way to attach the pdf on here but not sure if I can. I just took a screenshot.

The B8 vs. the B7 are night and day. Visceral feel developed by a rumbling V8 engine is absolutely absent with the B8. The B8 is also quite a bit bigger (I think 5" longer...which is a mile on a performance sedan) all around vs the nimble B7 at 180.6".
The B8 wins on being a bit more modern, but honestly I don't think I could possibly give up an RS4 for one. Hell I wouldn't sell my B7 S4 for one.
I think you should take your RS4, buy it back if the price is right, and get a JHM tune + JHM 2.75" downpipes and catback exhaust. It will transform your car, and it will produce performance that will stomp a tuned B8 S4 (no offense B8 guys

the buyout on my rs4 is 55k can$... its a 2008, with an original 3 years lease. It's a premium with everything included (titanium dakota or daytona grey), audi care and under warranty until 120,000 km (it currently has 68k km).
Don't get me wrong, I still love this car. But I also love technology and changes, so that's why I ordered my S4 yesterday. The dealer wanted to take the rs4 back so I can get a 2011, but I said I can wait until the 2012 arrive
Performance wise, the difference between the stock s4 versus the stock rs4 is almost nothing from what I can tell... I drove the S4 for 2 hours, and we went (me and my GF) in a ''desert'' road to make some speed tests, then I went to the same place after with my RS4 and it was practically the same numbers. Once I will get the S4 modified, I have no doubt it will be better than my RS4.
Anyway, it's not just about speed and racing, I could have got a Mercedes C63 AMG with 480hp for the same price of my S4, or maybe something with even more HP for the 80k can $ the S4 cost is (very very very full equiped, only missing the adaptive cruise control), but I like the 4 rings, and I will keep on going with it.
I posted a notice on my facebook wall asking cars enthousiast what would be the best move between a s4 2012 and a mercedez c63amg and with 60 posts, 51 were for Audi, I coudnt believe it!
What would be your choice guys?
