Default Wheel Offset

Hi There

I have a 2007 Audi A3 3.2 S-Line Quattro DSG. The car comes standard with 18" BBS-style kris-cross alloys. I'm having some difficulty determining the wheel offset. The best I can ascertain for Internet research is 18*7.5", 5*112 with 54mm offset. That seems to be quite a bit as most seem to be 33-45mm.

Does anyone have a definitive answer?

Thanks

Andrew

That is the correct offset. Both the A3 and TT share a very high offset.

On my A3.. I bought a set of Audi B7 With Stainless still lip rims.. 18 X 8 , 45 , Offset.. 115 Bolt pattern.. Went with a 235/ 40 / 18 Size tire.. They give the car a wider aggressive look.. The rim is flush with the side fenders.. Check my pics if U like.. I knew about the aggressive stance, and i'm happy with the way it looks.. All I have to do is lower it..

Greddy87, wheels look great on your A3.
A little lower would be awesome.

Well, after some research, it seems as if nobody sells wheels with 54mm offset. max I've found is 45mm.

How do A3 and TT owners buy aftermarket wheels?

What will the imact be of 45mm offset on my car?

Thanks

Hartmann has 8.5x47ET wheels available. The offset will cause the wheels to stick out just under an inch further than your stock wheels. It should look pretty good.

Hartmann Wheels - Audi Wheels, stock replicas - hartmannwheels.com

They have plenty of pics of wheels on their cars if you are interested.

Tirerack lists a ton of wheels for the A3. I haven't checked out there specs yet to see exactly what the offsets are though.
