I have a3 2.0T 2006, DSG, and with about 7500 km/4660 miles on mine. I'm getting around 350km/217miles with full tank (55L/14.5gallons) in the city. I'm not very happy with that. Is that normal ?

I can EASY get 300 km with HALF a tank.....mixed city+highway

I have a manual 6spd 2006 a3 with sport package (40000km), stock wheels with worn/noisy toyo T1R.

Do you push here really hard in city driving? I dont usualy in town because of the low torque and its not needed or fun in trafic.

 

Honestly, I don't push really hard......I drive really carful. probably 80% city driving. with full tank (premium gas, 'til my gas refuel light goes on every time I get around 340km - 350 km. I expect more than that, this is ridiculous for 2.0.

 

Doesn't sound normal to me, that siad the engines are tuned to perform differently until they break in. Once you reach that point typically the mileage and power should increase.

I have a 2006 2.0T DSG with 36,000km and if I drive normal I get anywhere between 450 & 550 in the city. I did a road trip this summer and out of curiousity, set the cruise at 110 km and just sat back. I got almost 700km on that tank!! It was very difficult to do but I was impressed with the mileage.

You may want to talk to your dealer, maybe a re-flash?

 

07 2.0T DSG 28K KM, 90% highway about 125-135 KMPH during winter months = a good tank is 600KM a bad tank is 540ish so I am getting pretty much 10L/100KM not too shabby at all. I will gun it once in a while just to make sure that turbo is worked and the carbon doesn't build too much I am very happy with that miealage. I don't have a full tank of in city driving to report.

 

If you "race" your car every time you drive, you'll obviously will get 350km/tank, but you just drive as a regular driver, then you should get more out of it. mine gets 8.5l/100km in a city (city/highway mix driving).

 

I am a spirited driver and drive my car like it should be driven.......and I get about 400km easy if its highway I am in the 600-750km/s and regular city driving well that never happened so i cant tell you

 

i wish i got mileage like that in solid city driving lol...
