Thinking about getting a 2009 A3 2.0 6spd. I purchased a one time cost lifetime membership to Sirius a few years ago. It applies to my current Sat receiver only. I want to install it in the A3 but I need to know where the factory installed receiver is and what the connections are etc. Any input would be appreciated.

The receiver in my 06 is in the hatch, on the left-hand side. I don't know for sure, but I don't think that has changed with the facelift. There's a small panel in the middle of the left wall of the hatchback, and the receiver goes behind there.

 

Yes it is in the same place as it was in 2008. In the hatch on the left hand side wall under the black cover.
