LEDs for Foglight give Error?

I'm looking at replacing my current foglights (bulbs burnt out) with some LED bulbs. I keep reading that putting LED bulbs in audis will give error codes? I am wondering if I will be able to replace my current foglights with LEDs without throwing any error codes?

Car is a 2006 Audi A3

Hey,

Jonny, you'll need to install a 6 Ohm 50 watt load resistor on each fog. Approx. $5.00 each.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but decided against it b/c apparently the led fogs will be too dim for lighting the road. If you just want the look of leds i guess you're fine, but be prepared to give up some functionality...
