How many ft lbs to torque lugbolts?
Hey all:
Picked up a set of winter rims/tires for my new A3... Won't be putting them on for a while, but I was wondering what to torque them to?
My old G35 was 80ft lbs. Is it the same?
Thanks!

In case you bought aftermarket wheels, most of them use cone seat – you don't want to mix them up. I've seen even mechanics use the incorrect bolts/nuts many times.
I got a set from TireRack.
They included a free set of centering rings and 20 lugbolts... I'm assuming these should be correct?
One thing I notice with all previous mechanics (dealers included) is they always over-tourque the bolts. There are times where I needed to jump on my wrench to get the bolts to start moving and I'm 225lbs (very frustrating)...
I got a set of these: 17x8 Black Painted MOTEGI RACING MR118

I will confirm that its 89. I have my torque wrench set to 90 and check it every two weeks as they have been known to back out during driving.
On a more serious note: I find that once the car is lowered and torqued, driving it around the block and re-tourqing them allows the wheel to settle a bit. Most of the time I get a little more turn on the lug before my wrench clicks. (but never done it on an Audi before, so we'll see).
