Hi.

I'm looking at an '04 A3 2.0t. Test drove it today. Really liked everything about it. Just wondering if you seasoned owners can give me a heads up on what to look out for.
The general specs are 147k/mi. Dealer is asking $15k.
I will say the check engine light came on when I punched it on a straight away. Dealer said this model is known for coil pack issues. Nothing about the performance changed after the CEL came on.


Any advice you can offer on what to look for would be much appreciated.

 

My bad - I meant 2006, not 2004. It's a 2006 A3t 2.0 Auto.

 

i drive a 06 a3 2.0T and have minor but annoying electric problems, go figure with a german car. i have the 6-speed manual. i love my car but wished i had a wider trunk space. if you are about to have a child or golf alot you'll need a bigger car as strollers and golf bags will be hard to fit in the trunk.

if you are just daily driving it's a great car. good milege but only will shell premium gas. very very fun to drive.
