Default 2007 A3 - Rear Breaks

Hey Everyone,

Does any one have any recommendations for Rear Breaks. I don’t want to go bankrupt replacing these, but I do want high quality parts. I know Audi has quoted me around $400.

Any recommendations would be appreciated, for parts and also places to get them serviced. Looking for a place in the Markham\Durham area if possible.

Thanks!!

I'm sure the majority of the dealer quote is labour. I assume you are getting rotors and pads.

All aftermarket manufacturers have upper and lower quality lines. Try a reputable NAPA dealer. Their top line rotors are good and their pads have a lifetime warranty. If they wear out they are replaced free. (you pay the labour).

Premium Rotors should be about $50.00 ea, Pads $60.00 for a set for both sides. (premium OE Semi-Metalic) (Prices from NAPA US website)

An experienced mechanic should be able to do the job in about an hour.

Brakes are an easy repair for any licensed mechanic.

Be sure to ask them to lube the calipers while they are at it.
