Hi I'm new to this forum and to owning an Audi A3.

I have an 2001 A3 1.8 Turbo Quattro and its temperature gauge reads 60C most of the time when it is warmed up. It some times goes to 90C when stopped. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

 

It sounds like the coolant sensor needs replacing!you can do it yourself they cost around, £18 or $25 have a look on YouTube for info about replacing one! they can also affect starting, and engine idling!! Good luck.
