Homelink SEcurity + 2.0 Q5 2011
Good evening all,
Been a while and still very satisfied with my 2011 Q5.
I have started a garage renovation and in the process of installing a 4 post lift for the summer Mustangs, I need to convert my standard lift garage door to a high lift one. In the process, I will be replacing my old Sear Craftsman garage opener with the shaft mounted Liftmaster 8500.
This opener now operates with the Homelink Security+ 2.0 codes and I am wondering if the 2011 Q5 Homelink system is compatible with the new Security + 2.0 codes.

Hi GT475,
Your Q5 Homelink should work fine, my 2011 S5 does with the Liftmaster 8500 opener. I also have a 2004 A4 Avant which needs the interface from the old Homelink frequencies to the newer in the 8500 series opener.
