Your story sounds just like my experience. I have an Audi A3 2006 2.0T. I bought it Cert preowned from Audi Dealership. My light bulbs keep burning out. I can't remember the exact history, but I've had to change the bulbs on the brake lights (the ones on the trunk door) a few times now, and the front turn bulbs as well. Every time this happens I tell the service people to check the fuses, the wiring, the contacts, and they tell me everything is fine. The most recent time, which is just after it went off the factory warranty, the two brake lights + the front driver side fog light bulb burnt out. I decided to change the bulbs myself, and when I opened up the housing where the bulbs are held, the contacts on the bulb had melted and the contacts on the housing has some kind of metallic residue on it. Clearly, something is overheating back there. Anyhow, approximately about the same time my change light indicator comes on, so too does my min oil warning. I have to top off the oil every 5000 kms. This time, the dip stick was showing less than the MIN when I checked it. I think there is definitely something wrong with the oil consumption, but again, every time I take it in to the dealership they tell me everything is fine, that this is normal for city driving.

I used to have a GMC Jimmy 1999, and I never had any issues with the bulbs or the min oil (although there were several other major problems with the car). When I told this to the customer service guy at the dealership he arrogantly told me not to compare the two, as they are not even in the same ballpark. While it is true that my audi handles and accelerates like a dream, the other little details like bulbs, oil consumption are certainly less than satisfactory, and as I see that more and more people have the same issue, i believe that it is worthy of complaint. The other two issues that I have are 1) there seems to be an intermittent clicking sound coming from the rear passenger side. Never been able to resolve what that is. 2) i get two circular foggy patches on the windshield just above the centre vent, which again, I've been told is normal. No other car that i've ever owned had this issue.

I bought a 2009 Audi A 4 with the 3.2 litre V 6 engine two months ago. From the outset, the vehicle has had a problem with acceleration hesitation. For several weeks, when accelerating from stop, there was a 1 - 2 sec. delay between pressing the gas peddle and the car starting to move. More recently, the delay only seems to occur when I slow down to less than five m.p.h. and then attempt to speed up. The Making a left turn when there is traffic coming at right angles is hazardous under these conditions, and I had a couple of close shaves early on before I started compensating by never making such turns unless I had plenty of time. My efforts to have this problem rectified by the dealer (Audi Uptown in Markam, Ontario) have so far been unsuccessful, although they have acknowledged the existence of the problem. Their solution is to use Sport mode rather than regular Drive Mode, which seems to help, but not consistently. Also why should I have to use Sport Mode, which uses more gas, when the car should accelerate properly in Drive Mode ? Is this problem simply unavoidable with a drive-by-wire throttle, or is there something wrong with the way the throttle and the ECM are set up? I would be grateful for any advice or possible solutions you might have.

I have a similar problem to Dr. Blake above. My 2009 A4 3.2 hesitates when the car is first started after sitting outside for several hours (like at work). This problem only started as the weather has turned cooler (+2+/-). After a block or so, the car accelerates normally again.

Have a A4 2010 @6500 Km.
My feet feel cold : is there a damper somewhere in footwell area?
What do u think abt AudiCare package as first service is free and $800 is for 3 services. and the best service/dealer in Toronto ?

I'm not sure what you can do about cold feet, but the heater has lots of adjustments and I imagine at least one of these allows more heat to be directed downward. Check your driver's manual for this.

As far as Audi Care goes, in my view it's well worth the $ 800., which is a far cry from what you would pay for an extended warranty once you go past 75,000 km. or 80,000.

As far as dealers in Toronto area are concerned, my only advice is to stay away from Audi Uptown in Markham. I have not had a good experience there regarding my efforts to get my acceleration delay addressed.

Thanks milton for the reply.
My manual does not cover the climate control as installed. when i press the button with seat and arrow symbol the mmi display shows arrow symbols which is not at all shown in the manual. Uptown salesperson says since the car does not come with nav. package this is the only manual i get. I am writing to Audi.
You are right ubout Uptown service as I also had a bad experience. Agincourt seems to be ok.
