Re: 2008 RS4 modifying remote
I actually showed it to the sales guy but want to maintain a good relationship with service. I think it is a liability issue and I guess I understand that.

As for which changes I'm referring to, the original one you posted.
I followed these instructions:

Not sure how it could be a liability issue. You're simply enabling something Audi has already implemented but has chosen to not enable for certain regions. The fact that all the windows can come up and down at the touch of a single button adds no "danger". Heck, VW was promoting it a few years back in their commercials.

That's why it's disabled in North America. Lawsuits in the US for everything thus no remote windows. Same with opening. Say you accidentally open all the windows with the key in your pocket/purse and it rains. Or your dog gets out.

because if your dog is sticking it's head out the window when you're walking into Best Buy you squeeze the LOCK button in your pocket/purse accidentally and crush the dog in the window...that'd suck.

As for the rolling down, maybe...I guess...although you need to keep the button pressed down for at least 2 seconds for it to activate.
Still, NA is lame with its incessant lawsuits
