Turn off TPMS o 2009 A4 Quattro
I just got new rims/tires for my 2009 Audi A4 Quattro. Has anyone here been able to turn off the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) through vag-com software? I was unable to find the code.
It's an A4 from the US, and for some reason the daytime running lights are the high beams -- has anyone else had this issue?
thanks!

If it is, I can't find it. The only option in the MMI is to "store current pressure." but this does nothing. Warning comes on all the time still.
Any other ideas?

I have access to vag-com -- just can't find out how to disable through there. Did find a TPMS installed or not, but that did not seem to make a difference. If anyone has done it through vag-com I'd be curious as to how.
I know you can disable the DRL through the MMI just when I went to change through vag-com for what is turned on for DRL -- it was not sticking. Strange..

Anyway, not sure if it works for a B8 but the VAG info for a B7 is:
Go to Instruments (17), Adaptation, Channel 61, and recode from the default of 3843 to 3331.
Good luck !

It wouldnt surprise me if a dealership suggested its dangerous to turn of TPMS although thats a pile of bull ! I turned mine off to avoid this specific problem with my winter setup and plan to continue to do what I've done for years with previous Audis without this stupid featuure: check the air in my tires every few weeks ...
