Question About Radio (No Nav):
Hey, guys! I take delivery of my B7 S4 tomorrow! I can't wait! I'll be trading in my B6 A4 3.0L.
I thought I'd ask here, since the S4 uses the same radio/CD player as the A4.
Is there a way (either through existing settings, or via VAG COM) to have the radio/cd player continue playing after turning off the ignition, without having to physically turn it back on? This has always bugged me in the A4...
Any help would be appreciated!
-Thanks

Re: Question About Radio (No Nav):
On the B7 radio will continue playing until you remove the key. On the B6 it turned off when the ignition was turned off. Either way if it turns off when you don't want it to, just press the volume button again and it'll turn on and then turn itself off after about 60 mins.

Thanks for the reply.
I remember the radio turning off when I turned off the engine... but I could be wrong. I'll find out tomorrow!
If it stays on with the key still in, that's cool with me... I just hate when it turns off just because I turned off the engine.
I know I can manually turn the radio back on, but then there's a break in the music, and the volume has the be adjusted again (I use the maximum initial volume feature).

Re: Question About Radio (No Nav):
The radio will shut off once the engine is shut off. If you turn the radio back on (press the volume button) it will stay on for about 20 minutes, even if you open the driver’s door the radio will operate until you manually turn it off or the set time has elapsed.
The "key" is irrelevant for radio operation with the exception that the radio will shut off once you shut off the engine.
