Re: Winter Tires for Q5
I also bought the Yokohama Geolander I/T G072 with RS4 Replica for our Q5 (still waiting for it too....) from the dealer recommended by Warcity. There is a $60 Yokohama Visa Prepaid Card rebate on Yokohama Winter tires from Sept 1st. - Sept 30th, 2010. There is also a $40 Yokohama Visa Prepaid Card rebate on Yokohama Winter tires from Oct.1st - Nov 30th, 2010
I paid $960 with taxes so with the $60 rebate, it'll be $900 even. Here is the link for the rebate---> Link
Overall, the price came out to $1740 CAD with installation/mounting included.
Thanks Warcity for the local dealer recommendation.

Re: Winter Tires for Q5
I sent them copy. To tell you the truth, the original and copy are identical except the local dealer initialized his name in blue where the total was.

Re: Winter Tires for Q5
Frozo you get the benefit of being in GTA it seems as I just couldn't find any in Calgary for the same price. Are you still planning to get the Pirelli's? They roll around my basement with amazing grip on carpet if that helps

Re: Winter Tires for Q5
The Pirelli would have cost an additional $100 CAD if I bought local as compared to Tirerack. The reason I did not get the Pirelli is because it perform better on Highway than City driving and we'll be doing mostly city driving. On the other hand, the Yokohama Geolander I/T G072 performs better on city than highway. At least that is what the local dealer indicated.
I also found this on apa website on different winter tire rating for SUV.

Re: Winter Tires for Q5
Anyone, buy stuff from achtuning? The Hartmann wheels are real nice! Also, any thoughts on getting 19 inch winters-the sline tires make it difficult to shrink in size-thinking I'll be able to plough through anything with the quatrro anyways...
