Default Wheel Change Date

Now that spring is around the corner and the sun was shining today I was wondering when do most of you change from your winter shoes to the summer shoes?

Is there a specific date or some other significant event that says "its time"?

once we start having consistant overnights above 0 and no chance of water on the streets freezing I usually swap mine over. Last year I think I swapped them in the middle of March, this years looking to be like mid April

I change them as soon as I possibly can get away with it. I have my Winters on their own rims though, so it takes me 10 minutes to swap back to them if it snows again. I'm shooting for April 1st (hoping the streets here will be dry by then)

Our forcast 14 day trend says that low temps (mornings below 0) will hover through to end of March, so April 1 is my target. Key is to take snows off if temp is 7 degrees or higher - to save wear yet avoid icy mornings.

Yeah, I aiming for the first week of April. I'm so tempted to switch this weekend but, last year I swapped too early and had to drive a couple of days in the snow.......not fun!

I remembered one year I change them early March and guess what. It snow couple of days later and it didn't call for snow. So, from that day on, it has been mid to end of April.

I'm planning on changing them on one of my cars next weekend. That way, still have at least one car with snow on just in case.
