Deciding on winter tires from Tire Rack for 2012 Q5 S-Line (black + phantom black).

I've narrowed it down to two choices - both with Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires:

1) 19" Platinum Monarch (Painted Black)
2) 18" MOTEGI RACING MR118 (Painted Black)

Option (1) is $300 more than option (2).

Opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Can anyone at least let me know if one rim is better quality than the other?

 

I am looking at the 18: Motega's as well, think they will look good in winter. Does anyone have any comment on how these rims will hold up to salt, etc?
I would go with the 18", better for winter.

I know this thread is a bit old but just wondering how that combo worked out for you? I have the same spec Q5 and was considering the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow + 18" MOTEGI RACING MR118 combo as well.
