S7 wheels on an S4 current generation

Hi and sorry if this has been asked already. Looking to get a 2nd set of wheels for my S4. I have a line on a set of S7 20inch wheels with a 30mm offset. From what I read a 35 to 45mm offset is what is required for the S4. Can I add a wheel space to to the S7 wheels to fix this? I am not super familiar with how an offset is determined.

Thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions.

Hello. The S7 wheels will bolt onto your S4, but the offset is the problem. The S7’s ET30 sits farther outward than the S4’s recommended ET35–45, and you can’t fix that with spacers because spacers only push the wheel out even more. ET30 can work for some setups, but it’s more aggressive and may cause rubbing depending on tire size and suspension. For a clean, trouble-free fit, wheels closer to ET40 are the safer choice.
