Front License Plate (BC)

just got my 06 A3 2.0T.

i really don't like the look of a plate on the front.
anyone know about plate laws in BC?

My first thought was photocopy my plate and place the copy on my dash. i heard this is allowed(?), but doesn't look much better than just having a plate on the front IMO.

My second thought is to bend the top and bottom of the plate behind itself so all that is showing is the number/letters. Then using zapstraps, securing it to the grill underneath the bumper. Would this be legal? I know the plate would still be there, but at least it would be much smaller, and lower.

I agree, a front plate really messes up the look of the front of these cars. I've been driving for some time now without a front plate, and I guess I've been lucky to not be hassled over it yet, but as far as I know it is required by law here in BC. I've seen people modify the plate to make it smaller and mount it low, but I'm pretty sure that any modifications, bending/cutting, is probably illegal as well.
If I had to mount the plate, or the day I get a ticket for it, I'll fabricate some kind of bracket to mount it low without having to put holes in the front of the bumper.

I think so too the no. plate at the front bumper totally messes the look of the car ,but fearing it be illegal to tamper with the plate i haven't done anything yet.
