dealership practice

I went in for a check up, and oil change while at it. (OpenRoad, nicer than Capilano)

After the change, they gave several recommendations, pricey too.

- brake flush, coolant flush, steering rack and pinion(whopping 2k, though I have extended warranty)

Am I suppose to take those seriously?

I mean, nice dealer and all, at least they took me in right away for coil packs. But Every time I go in, I get new recommendations.

Is this normal, or i really need to get them checked.

Repair done so far: timing belt kit, cam adjustment gasket (both within 2 months)

repair to be done: exhaust manifold leakage.

current km, 125000km

Need your expertise.

Re: dealership practice

I feel the same way when I come out from a dealer....... I went for my coil packs and came out with a minor leak here and there which I knew for sure they were gonna find things wrong.

I would take the recommendation seriously but not the price, dealer prices are like 3 times higher then independant guys, best advice find a good mechanic for audi's besides the dealer.
