Coolant Leak

I've noticed that my B6 1.8T has a coolant leak that's developed in the past week as the temperatures dipped. It looks like it's from around the thermostat area so I'm hoping it's just the j-plug.

Would it be best to take it to a rad shop or should I stick with taking it to an audi specialist? Other than Westside Automotive and Autobahn, does anyone have any recommendations for an Audi shop or rad shop in Edmonton in either the southside or downtown area?

Thanks,
Rob

Have you tried Eurasia? I've been very happy with their service on my '01 A6 2.7T. Drop by and ask for Dory, he will point you in the right direction what has to be done on your car.

Take it to a specialist, Audis are harder to work on then your joe mechanic might be able to handle, and rad shops are even worse.

Thanks for the suggestions, I did end up taking it to Eurasia, which is an Audi specialist here in town.

So far it looks like it was just a leaking bleed screw. Hopefully it doesn't end up more complicated (i.e. expensive) than that!
