Custom Auto Shield, best known for their 3M Stone Guard installation, is now an authorized APR distributor for ECU tuning and parts.

As a further FYI, if anyone out here is considering getting their ECU software upgraded, now is the time. APR and it's distributors have a sale going on until the end of the week that essentially gets you all of the available programs for your car for the price of one.

Holy, do I have a sense of timing!! I am in Regina and just bought an A4, was ready to make the trek to Alberta for the ECU upgrade. Any word on how the stage 1+ behaves at our altitude?

 

I got it done on the 30th of April and I am VERY happy with the results.

The instant change in performance blew my mind. I figured it would be noticeable but not to the level that I am seeing. My avant is a whole new car now and I haven't noticed much of a fuel consumption difference on the highway since getting it done.

 

That's excellent, these guys seem pretty legitimate. I plan on checking this place out tomorrow. In all fairness, I need rims before I get the flash done, but depending on the cost of injectors and 1+ program it may work. What Octane file/Injector combination are you running?

 

If it's not too personal, could I ask approx. how much you paid and did you get any pre-purchase trial period?

I got it just into for their "summer sale" they were advertising until the end of april.
I got the emcs($599usd), 3 program switching($219usd), security lockout($59usd) and Fault code erase($59usd) all for $650(i think) + taxes .

I didn't get the trial period because I had heard so many good things about apr, and had done a bunch of searching/research into a few different ones 4-5months ago but never pulled the trigger on one because there were no dealers in town. Also had heard many great things from Regina_TTS as he had done his TTS(and I think Q5).
