2015 TDI entire fuel system needs replacing??
My 2015 Q5 has 109,800 Kms on the drive train. We bought it in 2016. We have faithfully cared for this vehicle since we got it. It has been regularly serviced as required by the manual by Audi Downton Vancouver and Audi Victoria. Last Sunday Dec 3 2023 I was driving home. I had just moved off the traffic light, the car behaved usually sluggish, then moments later stalled and would not start again. I pulled over to the shoulder and called for a Tow back to Victoria. On examination and removal of the intake manifold by Audi it was determined that there was evidence of metal shavings in the system. Audi Canada Technical dept advised replacing the HP fuel pump, Fuel lines, regulator and remove and clean the fuel tank. Still waiting to confirm parts cost, but the rough estimate from Audi will be 15 to 20K plus labour to perform the work. Has anyone out there had this experience and did Audi provide any assistance to make the vehicle serviceable again?
