Hi this is my first post, so hi everybody!

I have a 1998 green a4 2.8 quattro, great car for me so far but I would like to get a bit more out of it.

I don't know much about the chip's or turbo whatever the options are for this car so would love some feedback.

Any recommenced shops in B.C. would be great as well!

First of all the 2.8 is very expensive to upgrade. Put an intake on it and a 3" exhuast and you should be happy for awhile anyway. I got a 1.8t and its chipped, intake, exhaust very quick but I still want more. K 04 turbo and intercooler is gonna cost 2 grand alone.

 

AudiPain is right, the 2.8 is expensive but you can find parts pretty cheap on ebay. I saw a PES G2 supercharger for a 2.8 30v (assuming you have a facelift 98 ) for 2 grand which is half the price it goes for in stores.

 

Good solid engine, tought to do upgrades thought, at least expensive, sell it and get the turbo version. I know guys pushing 300+ HP with a bigger turbo on the turboed engine and the supporting mods. The B5 so far is a very solid model and vas very well built and refined, probably one of audis best cars out there as far as reliability, however the B6 models are okay but the bugs are still beeing tweaked

 

by the turbo version you mean the 2.7t or the 1.8t? cuz the 2.7t is a 2.8 with a bit of its internals changed and twin turbo?

 

hmmm a supercharger for 2 grand is not that bad... probably the least expensive $/hp

 

Hi, im looking at getting a '98 A4 Quattro 1.8 TURBO and was wondering wat is the best way to get more HP out of it.??. If i understand correctly the car has 150hp as is, i would like to see at least 200hp or better. any suggestions?

well, a chip will get you somewhere around 170-180, a ko4(turbo) will surely get you over 200 and its pretty much plug and play with the k03`s flang, so yea do that and youll have over 200 Oh and maybe next time you should make your own thread instead of leaching ^^

 

how much you think that Ko3-Ko4 will cost??

 

Ko4 won't give you alot of power tho and price around $1000 You can get up to 450 hp (engine) with GT71R turbo kit really nice toy I make that mistake on my own and now putting this turbo in with max I can get remember don/t have to use it and dally drivers think ( yeah right ) .anyway K04 its waist of your money
