Exclamation convert Magnetic Suspension to coilovers

Hi Guys, I need some advice on whether it would make sense to convert the Magnetic Ride Controlled Struts and shocks on my 2009 A3 to after-market a coil-over set. My shocks are worn out and are bottoming out on the slightest bump. Car is also very unstable as it seems it is all springs at this stage. The problem is the MRC Shocks are ridiculously expensive for such an old car. It doen't make sense, so I am considering aftermarket suspension kit. Would the suspension light come on on the dashboard console as the MR controller would no longer be connected to the struts if I replace them. This is my concern? Has anybody every done this? Where could I source some used MCR struts (Part # 8P0413029B).
