Right Rear Fog Light Warning

Right Rear Fog Light Warning
I am getting a dashboard warning that my right rear fog light needs replacement. This doesn't seem to make sense since the fog light for North American Audi's is the left rear. I have checked all bulbs and they are working, and cleaned out the sockets and checked the wiring.
Does anyone have any ideas on why I still get the warning when I put the car in gear?
