Hello All,
I'm new to the Audi world and have read all the threads I can find about the tops not working but this one seems to be a hard question to find an answer for.
I have a 2007 Audi A4 cabriolet. when I try and put the top down the following sequences take place.
Pull up on the button and the windows go down
Roof unlatches at the windshield
Pump turns on and tries to open but instead of the top raising and the back coming up to allow the cover to open it looks and sounds like the cylinder is trying to close the top.


What's been done
Manual reset multiple times
Removed front latch motor and ran it without a load on it.


What is strange
At first the latches at the windshield would not unlock. I removed the motor and it barely moved. I tried it again and then its like it unfroze. After that I reinstalled the motor and tried it again. The top would then unlock but now as stated above it will not move even though you can here the pump running and see the top push forward just a little bit on right side of car.
Any help would be much appreciated.
