I Have a 2001 Quattro A6 I have been having a issue with it starting, it first happened after cleaning my car and listening to the radio. It was only about 30 min and when I tried to start it, it would not start and had to be jumped. Then it happened again awhile later but it was the first start on the day. We replaced the battery. Then when my husband had my car running errands it happened again. The car was fine and he made several stops. When he got back in the car from his last stop it would not start again. All the lights come on the radio works but no start. It did start with a jump.
So we replaced the Alternator. Now it wont start again. The battery gauge shows 12v. All the lights come on radio works but the car does not even click or make a sound like it wants to start.

Needless to say my husband is fed up with this car and I dont want to get rid of it so any suggestion would be great!

 

All fixed, just over looked grounding the starter.
