2007 Q7 satellite radio issue

I recently purchased a '07 Q7 and am trying to activate Sirius on it. But it won't receive the activation signal. It just sits on the screen telling me to call Sirius to activate the radio. Sirius is of no help. They keep telling me to change the channel, which is impossible as far as I can tell. Any ideas??
