Hi guys does anyone know where is the best place to purchase these ? The Audi dealer in toronto told me seeing as i have 19 inch summer tyres i will need winter ones and probably need to go down a size and will roughly cost 2 grand.

Im wondering if it would be best to get a second hand pair

 

i personally wouldnt buy used tires (done it before, they ended up popping)
give simply tire a call, theyre located on toro road. bought tires from them before and so have many in the audi community, they are excellent

 

I also need to buy wheels as I probably should go down a size

 

you can get used wheels on kijiji. OEM audi 17 inchers should be <$500. Otherwise you can get the whole package from simply tire too, iirc they start at around $1500

 

I've bought used winter tires before and had no issues at all.

 

I got a set of winter tires this season. Before that, I was looking at options. One tire dealer had good tires but only third party rims for Audi. I thought about it and decided that I would want the original Audi rims. Then I checked the dealers special, checked the tires specs. These were Dunlop, designed for sporty cars. That did it.
A5 is a sporty car, needs sporty tires. go what the manufacturer recommends. Expensive? well, it is not a cheap car. It's your second wife, treat her well. Give her what she needs.
