Hey...so I keep reading about these "B8" S4's and S5's.....what does the "B8" stand for?

Not sure if this is a serious question… even a 2 sec Google search should be your friend!

• B5, B6, B7, B8 are platform/models of the A4.

B8 means 2008-2013 models. Like a B6 is 2002 to 2005.5 year model

To add to what was previously stated, it denotes the model year/platform.

For the S4/S5, B8 denotes the 2009-2012 model years.

For the 2013 model year, they did a minor facelift (different grill, headlights, taillights, exhaust cut-out, etc) and that is called the B8.5 to differentiate it from the earlier model.

For instance, the previous generation of the S4 would be the B7.
