Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I did a search and didn't find anything in the forum.

I recently took delivery of my new Q5 Premium... absolutely love it!! However on a road trip to the US I noticed there is no indication of mph on the speedometer? I've never owned a vehicle that didn't have this alternate reading on the speedometer.

I'm wondering if maybe there is a way to change the digital read out to mph instead of kmh?

I'm not sure if you think about it



On DIS display you can change:
-Distance
-Speed
-Temperature
-Pressure

 

First off, congrats on the Q5! You will love the car.

Depending on whether you have NAV or not, there are two ways on switching your digital speedometer to MPH.

1. Select either MENU or CAR+SETUP
2. Select Setup MMI (in top right corner menu I believe)
3. Select Measurement Units
4. Select Digital Speedometer and flip it to MPH

Now use your wiper wand controls to bring up the digital speedometer on the screen between your Analog Speedometer and Tachometer.

THATS what I'm talking about!! I figured there had to be a way! Thanks for the feedback.

I didn't get the NAV... not driving anywhere that I don't know the way, plus not a fan of back up cameras.

I will try this out tomorrow, and hope I remember how to flip it next time I need it. Meanwhile still trying to master all those buttons on the wiper switch! Every now and then I still surprise myself with a headlight wash!
