1999 and 2000 A4 part compatibility
I was wondering if most of the parts on a 1999 Audi A4 1.8 Quattro and compatible with a 2000 A4 2.8.
I recently purcahse a 2.8 and I saw this add today and thought it would be a good way to save on parts. I figure even getting the second set of rims and tires as well as a few body components would make the purchase worth it.

It looks like that ad is down, but to answer your question; it depends. There are A LOT of parts that are the same (keep in mind my experience is on the 1.8t), but then there are some that for no reason are different. For example; the side view mirrors bolt to the door the same, but the actual housing and frame are different.
So, while a lot of the parts may be different, many will fit both cars.

main thing is the front steering knuckles on the v6 car are larger and use different wheel bearings, if the 99 isnt a facelift then the front fenders/headlights/foglights/taillights will be different but will work if you swap both assemblies.
