Hey All.

I'm a new owner of a 2006 A3 and while I love the car, I get terrible radio reception. I've been to a dealer who attempted to remedy the issue by reclipping the antenna connectors under the rear head liner close to the hatch but nothing improved.

The antenna I have is the shark fin one. I get no AM bands and virtually no FM bands either unless I'm really central to the city.

Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this kind of issue?

Don't know for sure, but I thought the Sharkfin was only for the the GPS and satellite (XM/Sirius) signals. FM/AM come from the elements in the rear window. Is there a distance signal option on your radio and is the antenna cable connection into the back of the radio properly solid & connected.

 

Sadly, this is pretty much on every A3... I seem to have the same problem, but luckily the radio stations suck in Montreal.... except for CHOM. DICE kit is your best bet, I installed one last year and it works great....
