Just had my Audi A4 B7 ECU upgraded with APR stage 1. So far I have to say the upgrade is amazing! My car definitely pulls a lot stronger, especially in 2nd and 3rd gear. Still drives as smooth as stock.

Next up....High Flow Cat, Exhaust, Intake, and Stage 2 upgrade.

 

nice! stage 2+ is just a software amendment to bypass the O2 Sensor if not mistaken. the high flow cat and exhaust will be a nice upgrade too!
i loved when my last car had stage 1. that extra 45hp and 90 tq or so.

Thanks for the props! So far the upgrade is still great...although I'm starting to get used to the extra boost and I'm starting to crave more hp!! Will be getting that exhaust and intake upgraded soon...based on everyone's feedback, looks like that high flow cat will add another boost in hp for the a4.

 

I'd be tempted to get the high flow cat... but leave the stock intake. From my reading... it seems that the stock intake is probably the most efficient.

 

True....my mechanic did say the intake would be useless, except for enhancing the sound of the turbo....he recommended the are dry drop in filter if I wanted to go aftermarket.

I've never heard of the AFE filters... it seems like they might be a good option (versus K&N).

 

They are better because they have option to get a synthetic dry filter. K&N has that oil type filter that messes with the Audi sensors...
