the stock airbox on most Audis is very effective. I'd be inclined to leave it.
This is not a Honda or a Ford with a horribly inefficient intake, or a car that benefits greatly from an intake mod. Quite often Audi has done the homework for you.
THe Transverse mounted engines may be different, however I've yet to see an intake on Audi do much more than increase sound.

For me, I noticed a difference from my intake...mind you i had a stage 1 tune, that most likely made a difference as well. The stock air box is most likely not made to optimize air flow, rather created with a balance of performance and fuel economy in mind.
The carbonio intake will slightly outperform regular air box. 1 because its carbon fiber and it will keep the filter cooler(not much) 2 because it comes with a high flow filter. You could just pop a K&N filter in and most likely see similar results.
The neuspeed is nice, you will see better gains. I have heard ppl had fitment issues.
Sounds to me like you want the carbon fiber look under the hood? You should check out forge twintake. very nice to look at and gives similar gains to all the other ram air intakes.
If youre in it for the gains, you should get the cold air intake. I believe forge and bsh both have one.

I also noticed a difference in my car with my intake and the only mods i have are custom exhaust & Forge TwinTake.. The gas pedal is alot easier to press, the car goes instantly.. Freeing a bit more power and being able to take off a bit quicker then before.. You will be able to hear the turbo spool a bit.. Downshifts are a bit rewarding, more rewarding with an exhaust though.. Forge Twin Take might set you back a bit, but i havent had any issues what so ever..

The carbon fiber look actually looks better than I thought under the hood there. The clean black covers makes it look real sharp compared to chrome.
