Default Q5 Micropaint Repair

So a while back I said that I would take some pics on the Q5, but alas, the day I planned on doing this my wife took the Q to work and came home with a scrape on rear bumper. Bad enough that we got the scrape, worst that the culprit didn't even leave a note! Grrr...

Anyway, my friend had a pretty good experience with Micropaint repair, so I just had it dropped off this morning. I should have taken some pics for before and after, but I didn't think about it until now.

It's a lot cheaper than a full respray, and I hope that it comes back unnoticeable. I will certainly share my experiences with you afterwards.

And to the person who scrape my Q5, I believe in karma and as the saying goes, "Karma's a B**ch!"

I know! I barely have 15k on the odometer. Anyway, I got it back, it looks great. It's not perfect, but I'll live.

I truly recommend going this route, because it is a lot less expensive. The only other thing that annoys me right now is that the interior smells like paint. I hope it airs out in a few days.

I really hope that Karma bites that person in "the you know where". I hate how people just don't care about other peoples stuff. We work hard to get them..

Hope everything gets back to normal quickly. Please post pics!!

Agreed. We worked hard to get what we have...

Anyway, here are a couple of pics.

I should have taken the before pics but as you can see the scrapes are practically gone except that the reflective lens was damaged as well. I haven't looked into the replacement cost, but for now I am just going to silicone the crack so water doesn't get in.

Car is a little dirty, but I was told not to wash the car for a week.

Haha... Thanks. Actually I did have the before shot taken from my phone. Man, I have been losing my mind lately.
