swapping out seats....
i was going to swap out the seats in my car for mini cooper ones.... first of all, is it possible to do that and if so how hard would the project be ?
do i need to weld the audi rails to the mini seats ? and is it hard to solder the heated /power seat harness to the audi one ? (i mean cutting the connections off of each seat then joining them to the audi wiring.

nobody got back to me so i guess this has not been done by anyone on here (swapping seats). but when i had my seats out it looked like it would be an involved task... plus you would compromise the structure and strength of the seat..... so my guess would be it's not a good idea.
if i could find some kit that makes everything bolt together i would do it. but from looking at both seats, the mini is on rails (left and right or at least the one i looked at did, they could have changed with each year) and my seats are on a tri-mount way one point at the front and the two rear parts that slide in the track.
plus another problem i found is if you want continuity with the cars interior it would look a bit off since the rear seats wouldn't match or vise versa. so i'm sticking with my audi seats.
