Experience Chipping FWD A3; Comment??

I am considering purchasing a new A3 6 speed FWD (it's too bad Audi doesn't make a 6 speed quattro A3) but am worried about creating excessive torque steer and wheel slippage if I chip the car. I know if I buy an S-tronic quattro, I wouldn't be happy with the auto trans.
I would appreciate comments from anyone with a FWD that has chipped their car.
