Hey guys I just recently got an amazing Audi A6 2.8 quattro 1998 with 230000 from a friend for $1000. He's always had it serviced at AUDI VW Villa. I need The center console cup-holder and the faceplate for the front cup-holder. I'm in the GTA so I f anyone has them or knows where to get them please let me know. Anything I should watch-out for on the Car

 

Ask when they changed tranny fluid and the timing belt - ASK NOW.

Other than that A6 is like a docile cow, easy going.

 

Thanks Adam I belive he said that the timing belt was done at 200000 and the Tranny uses Lifetime fluid

 

Sounds Good.
You next Timing Belt is at 320k than
You tranny fluid is at 260k or if you feel anything at all unusual.
Your transmission is actually 2 transmissions and they can not be fixed.

Nothing is lifetime!!!

Good practise is to change all fluids to not only give yourself peace of mind but a fresh start. This would include rad, tranny, brake, steering, and of course engine oil. Make sure you use the right stuff for each of these.

 

What do you mean Adam by 2 Transmissions?

 

They have two transmissions. The first one controls the other one so you have smooth ride
