considering the Avant or Q5 for my family with 2 small kids, 2 and new born. What do you guys think? I like the appearance of the Avant more, just wonder how pratical it is with the trunk space compare to the Q5. And how do they compare in comfort and maintanence wise?

you probably get similar trunk space in both cars, a4 is probably easier for your kids to get in and out, maintenancewise, i don't see how it'd be too different. comfort, i'm not sure about.

Designwise, i think it's a no brainer.

 

If you like the look of the Avant then go for it. I agree that the interior space and trunk space will be similar. The Avant will drive nicer (in my opinion).

 

No question that the Avant will be a much better driver. The Q5 is taller and heavier, not bigger inside, unless you count the space up against the inside of the roof.

 

I have to say i was never a fan of the Avant until i saw Cory's and now i have really grown to like them and has pretty good space inside it too. Q5 is nice if you like having an SUV and being higher up.
