Default Are side mirrors too big?

Hi all, I thought I'll start that thread to see what others think about Q5 side mirrors.
My personal spin on it, I test drove one (my delivery at the end of November) and find them really nice. Not too big at all. Actually, that was one of the many selling points. I don't get why they may block view as others have complained. Adjust your position preperly and should be good to go. I test drove Genesis and that car has really small side mirrors, I remember I had difficulty using them as I drove.

They're just the right size. Remember you might also want to tow one day so that comes in handy.

I love the size. Smaller blind spot and you can put more trust in the view it provides. I have the 2011 and am glad they fold when parked!

Did someone notice, that when you lock/unlock car and they fold/unfold - they make some clicking noise and it's not as smooth as it was at the beginning? When I watch then fold/unfold, they jerk couple times.
Not a biggie, but just curious if it's happening to others.

I experienced that on cold days and after a car wash. It could be water and ice build up right at the neck of the mirror where folding happens. Your experience should improve as it warms up.

Not a fan of sport utilities so I think all mirrors on all sport utilites are way too big. Looks like dumbo the elephant. I wouldn't want to be known as the guy who drives a dumbo around.

Always a pleasure getting a dig in on my Sport Ut friends here......LOL

Ouch - Dumbo can fly with his ears, wonder if the Q5/Q7 can fly using their mirrors but please do not attempt.
