I went on a road trip from Toronto to Cape Breton, drove 6000kms in two weeks, and had an amazing time with great driving. Minutes into Ontario on my way back, I decide to clean the bugs off my windshield and fill up the reservoir. I forget to put the wipers back down after washing off the glass, then raise up the hood. The wiper arm cracks my windshield.

A good crack the size of a loonie, and four 8" cracks coming out from that.

FML.

Any windshield replacement recommendations in the GTA? Any cost estimates? Apple Auto Glass (the only place that comes to mind, with their stupid jingle) wants 480 for it.

Fortunately, no rain sensors or anything like that.

 

i just paid less then 400 for mine at apple auto - speedy glass would price match too on kipling... Apple did a great job for me

 

Apple quoted me aroudn 450, Audi dealership around 550. Shopped around and I got mine replaced for $280, installed. Great job and highly recommended.
