2.0t and a 38HP electric engine. No idea on pricing.

 

Did you say 38HP electric engine? Is this a typo? Buying the very very first Audi Hybrid engine... requires lots of guts. Good move though gives them an edge.

 

^ the unspecified torque figure is probably where the benefit will be driven from.

 

Any word on fuel economy? And will the battery be large enough to benefit from the Ontario rebate on electric and hybrid vehicles ($5k - $8.5k)?

 

So does this mean that the Q5 TDI is dead?

 

The Q5 TDI was never alive to begin with here is NA. Only Europe. The real question is when the 3.2 engine will be laid to rest. My guess is 2011. It'll be a shame.

 

Do you expect the Q5 hybrid to be 2 wheel rather than 4 wheel drive?
It appears the A8 hybrid at the Paris Show is only 2 wheel drive -
"The propulsive power of both drive systems is applied to the road through the front wheels."

 

I can't imagine the Q5 be 2 wheel. But you never know
