summer's here and thank goodness...however, at nights it gets kinda cool so the AC is turned off...and oh boy does it stink...any audi owners out there experience this or is it that I forgot to put deodorant on??? i'm pretty sure i put it on.

Anyways, on the serious side, why does it smell like that when the AC is turned off and there's that funky smell afterwards...any one know how to get rid of it?

mold build-up from the condensation.
Happens every year to me this time of year....i just got that smell last week actually.
You can pick up a spray from Cdn Tire to spray your vents. Not sure what its called. i'll check tonight and get back to you

that'll be great dxrustam...thanks for the heads up...how about any of the air filters...i assume there's a filter in the hood somewhere that's causing this funky smell...

cabin air filter? its located under ur hood. top left under a plastic cover protector. easy pull out and put back.

 

Check the cabin air filter too, make sure it doesn't have some nasty stuff growing in/around it.

 

i recently checked my cabin air filter and air filter for my b6, main after the winter clean up, it was disgusting!!!

My little wet screen protector for my CAI was 50% covered with garbage and crap!

now my little baby can breathe easier.

i normally clean it twice a year, one before winter and another before summer. You cannot believe how dirty your filters can get after 5k.

Thanks folks...any recommendation on car fresheners??? I use squash that i buy at Pacific Mall and great smell, but i'm hoping to try something new...

Called 'California Scents'...smell great. Sit right in cup holder and last a while!

i have the one where u put it in one of your ventilation holes in the middle of the dash booard and when air blows out the car freshener fills the car with the smell.

i got a lavender smell, good for attracting girls. its a thing where u insert a smell stick into the holder. Have it for the last 2 years, and still running good like its brand new.

 

Bed Bath & Bodyworks has some random portable air freshener deal that looks like a clip on button. Theres some "odour eliminator" scent that my girlfriend bought for me...damn good if you want to try something new.
