I am looking into doing a color change and i got a quote today from shop for about for $2,000 and was woundering if this is a good price...i seen some of his work and it seems to be very good....pls give me ur feedback i dont really know MUCH paint jobs really go for..

 

I had an initial quote for repainting a Lexus ES300 before, a good job seems to be 2k too, that was 5 years ago.

 

Colour changes are hard to do. 2K is a good deal, your price should be twice that much.

 

first post here but ill put some input, for a colour change from a good shop, i got quoted $5,000.

the shop your looking at, for the full colour changes have your seen any cars in the process? i know some shops take shortcuts, looks great but after a year or 2 they start to look bad and need a repaint.

 

I was quoted $5,000 to do a colour change from Dark Red to Pearl White.

The $2,000 price sounds like they won't do door jams, under the hood, etc. $2,000 sounds like a tape and surface spray. Good for you for terrible for resale value.
